In recent years, the Jinfeng district of Yinchuan, capital city of northwest China's Ningxia Hui autonomous region has focused on building vegetable gardens, accelerating the development of the agricultural industry and generating funds of 163 million yuan ($25.8 million).

With the model of "government subsidy + financial loan + farmers' self-funding", it has built 27 agricultural parks and 4,400 greenhouses with an annual output of 147,000 tons of fruits and vegetables -- a value of 438 million yuan -- effectively driving 2,800 farmers to increase their income.

In an industrial park in Liangtian town of Jinfeng district, villager Guo Chunling was busy in her greenhouse, picking up the cucumbers that the sellers would purchase that day.

She said, "I started planting fruit cucumbers this year. The current price of cucumbers is about 4 yuan per jin (0.5 kilograms), which sounds good. I'll consider planting more next year if it sells well this year."

In recent years, the Zhiwuyuan village of Liangtian town has committed to expanding the village's collective economy with the "bringing in and going global" policy. It is also promoting digital rural construction and grid management to build a habitable and enterprise-adaptable demonstration village.

In the industrial park of Hefeng village, Fengdeng town, Jinfeng district, greenhouses are built for growing Morchella mushrooms.

Hefeng village makes full use of its land resources and attracts companies to build high-standard greenhouses to grow Morchella. It has vigorously developed the Morchella cultivation industry through expanding cultivation areas to increase the village's collective income.

"This year, we focus on developing high-quality agriculture. Through models of 'tourism + modern agriculture' and 'digital + modern agriculture', we have been implementing 10 key agricultural projects to make digital technologies involved in modern agriculture", said Wang Xiaomei, director of the Bureau of Agriculture, Rural Affairs and Water Supplies of Jinfeng district.

The industrial development can be boosted and farmers' income can be improved through projects like the Strawberry Town, Seedling Center in Guangming village and Lisi Town which enjoys integrative development, including rural products, processing and services. It will continuously bring vitality to the countryside and guarantee the development of agriculture and rural areas, Wang added.
