A promotion meeting of the centralized construction ceremony of major projects in Yinchuan city kicked off on March 15. With a total investment of 40.8 billion yuan ($6.42 billion), construction started on 32 key projects in Jinfeng district, covering areas like industrial development, infrastructure, livelihood and social undertakings.

The promotion meeting in Jinfeng district was held at the site of the Yinjiaqu Road and Fenghuang Street project. The project is planned to open to traffic in June, which can shorten people's travel time, relieve traffic jams and clear the "micro-circulation" in blocks to the maximum extent. Through enhancing the urban functional quality and comprehensive carrying capacity, the project will provide a better traffic environment for residents in Jinfeng district.

To strengthen the leading role of major industrial projects in the real economy, the promotion of major infrastructure projects to urban functions and the guarantee of major public services to a better life, Jinfeng district plans to implement 101 projects with a total investment of 86.1 billion yuan and a planned investment of 21.1 billion yuan in 2022. The investment scale takes the lead in whole districts in Yinchuan.

"In the first quarter of 2022, there will be 72 projects in Jinfeng district, accounting for 71 percent of the total number of projects in the year. The total investment is 69.6 billion yuan, with a year-on-year increase of 4.1 billion yuan, and the annual planned investment is 16.4 billion yuan, with a year-on-year increase of 1.3 billion yuan," said Xu Fangyuan, director of the Development and Reform Bureau of Jinfeng district.
Focusing on the nine key industries in the Ningxia Hui autonomous region, Yinchuan city's "three new industries" (new material, new energy and new food) and Jinfeng district's "five advantage-dominance" industries, namely modern services, digital economy, brand agriculture, headquarters economy and cultural tourism, Jinfeng district has established a working mechanism for county-level leaders to take in charge. The mechanism covers 101 major projects and 64 key enterprises, broadening private investment channels and improving social investment confidence.

At present, the first batch of 32 key projects, including Jianfa·YOYO City, have entered into construction one after another.
