Yinchuan forges ahead toward modern industrial system

Yinchuan, capital of the Ningxia Hui autonomous region, will accelerate the modernization of its industrial system, focusing on the high-quality development of five major industrial bases for new materials, clean energy, digital information, high-end beef and mutton processing, and cool-weather vegetables, as well as eight industrial chains for photovoltaics, batteries, computing power, advanced semiconductor materials, high-end equipment manufacturing, wine, goji berries and dairy products.

Efforts have been made to build modern industrial clusters with greater development prospects and more vitality that are greener and committed to lower carbon emission levels. Key projects have been introduced by relying on industry-leading companies such as TCL Zhonghuan Renewable Energy Technology Co Ltd and Jingsheng Mechanical & Electrical Co Ltd.

The city has reserved 198 industrial investment projects in 2023, with a total investment increase of 47.2 percent year-on-year, and an annual planned investment increase of 20.7 percent.

In addition, the city is also accelerating enterprise cultivation and further consolidating the foundation of industrial development.

According to an official from the Yinchuan Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, there are three companies with an output value of over 10 billion yuan ($1.45 billion), three with an output value of over 5 billion yuan, two with an output value of over 3 billion yuan, and 11 with an output value of over 1 billion yuan.

Yinchuan will focus on building the five major industrial bases and eight industrial chains, improve the modernization of industrial and supply chains, and form a new pattern of modern industry.
