Ningxia exports indocalamus leaves to Taiwan

On Apr 6, Yinchuan Customs exported a total of 9.6 tons of indocalamus leaves to Taiwan, China. This is the first time that Ningxia has exported indocalamus leaves.

Due to its advantages of having a high yield and being environmental-friendly, indocalamus leaves have been used as high-grade food packaging such as zongzi (sticky rice dumplings - a traditional snack for Dragon Boat Festival), tea liners, and to make indocalamus wine, feed, paper-making, and polysaccharide extraction. The price of indocalamus leaves has remained at a high level in domestic and international markets.

In order to guarantee the rapid and safe delivery of indocalamus leaves, Zhongwei Customs, which is under Yinchuan Customs, conducted a careful inspection of the quality, quantity and packaging of the products.

"As Dragon Boat Festival is approaching, we immediately started production after receiving order for 400 packs from Taiwan.
